Jesse Little; JJL Motorsports look for big performance in Lone Star state

Eyeing their third NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) start of the season, Jesse Little (@JesseLittle97) and his JJL Motorsports team welcome a number of partners and supporters for Friday night’s Vankor 350k at Texas Motor Speedway.

Skuttle Tight, a Willmar, Minn.-based manufacturer that offers two insulted attic access system that are easy to install returns to the family-owned team Friday night as the primary partner of the team’s No. 97 Ford F-150.

“Thrilled to have Skuttle Tight back on board this weekend,” offered Little.
“They have been a great partner for us over the two seasons and Chad Kompelien has been one of our biggest supporters, so we’re looking forward to another opportunity to better our seventh-place run from Texas last November.”

In addition to Skuttle Tight, JJL Motorsports will have associate sponsorship support from Parker FiberNet and new partner Dkota Investments.

“Parker FiberNet is a new partner for JJL Motorsports this season and I appreciate them expanding their schedule to support us this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. David Parker and his family have really jumped into the sport with two feet and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to bring them home a strong finish under the lights.”

The Sherrills Ford, N.C-based team will also bring on a new partner for the fifth Truck Series race of the season. Dkota Investments, a national company that provides build-to-suit facilities in the warehouse and mixed-use segments for large multi-national corporations, as well as smaller, privately owned businesses.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Russ Leitch and Dkota Investments to JJL Motorsports,” said team principal Jason Little. “It’s a positive step for our team to bring a new sponsor to the table and we hope that we’re able to expand our relationship throughout the 2019 season.”

Longtime JJL Motorsports partners Visit Kingsport, Grindstaff Rub and PFC Brakes will also support the team for Friday night’s race.

Looking forward, JJL Motorsports continues to work hard on securing additional partners and sponsors for the 2019 season including upcoming races at Dover (Del.) International Speedway and Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway in May.

“It takes a lot of people to get our No. 97 Ford to the track each week and we can’t do it without all our great supporters and partners,” added Jason Little. “We would like to also welcome back Jim Davis and Steve Biddle, both have been critical supporters of the program for several years.

“It’s a huge effort that goes from top to bottom. We are one big family who strives for perfection and to get the best result possible. Texas was kind to us last fall and we’re hoping for more of the same on Friday night.”

For the fifth time in his Truck Series career, Little will compete at Texas’s 1.5-mile oval.

In his four previous starts from 2015 to 2018, the NASCAR Next alumnus has posted four top-20 finishes, including a personal-best effort of seventh in his most recent trip to TMS last November.

“Texas is a very fast place, especially since the surface is still new,” added Little. “We learned a lot last Fall and I think we can apply some of that data and fundamentals towards our effort this weekend. Look forward to working with my new crew chief Bill (Henderson). I’m excited for what’s ahead.”
