Jack is Back … Jack Wood is back behind the wheel of the No. 91 at Martinsville Speedway for the first time in three races. Wood will pilot a stunning Alpha Vision Chevrolet paint scheme for his fourth NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) start at “The Paperclip”. Friday’s 200-lap penultimate event to the 2024 campaign marks Wood’s fourth short track start of the season and looks to improve on his best finish of 12th, which occurred at North Wilkesboro Speedway (NWS) in May.
Short Track Wheelin’ … Wood returns to NCTS competition after a pair of strong short track outings in the ARCA Menards Series West. The Loomis, Calif. driver recently recorded a pair of back-to-back top-five results at All-American Speedway and Kern Raceway in the last two events and hopes to translate that success to Friday’s showdown at Martinsville. In his last two short track starts, Wood posted a 15th-place finish at Indianapolis Raceway Park in August and spent time among the top-15 at Bristol Motor Speedway in September.
Season to Date … Through 21 of 23 races, the No. 91 team sits 16th in the NCTS owners’ points standings, one point out of 15th. The squad has amassed three top-five’s and six top-10 finishes thus far with an average finish of 16.1. In his 11 starts, Wood has compiled four top-15 finishes, including a season-best 12th at NWS

Jack Wood Quote:
On returning to NCTS action at Martinsville:
“It’s great to get back in the truck after a few weeks off. The No. 91 guys have had some good speed the last few weeks, so hopefully we can continue that at Martinsville with our Alpha Vision Chevrolet. It’s cool to have them on the truck this week, so hopefully we can continue improving our short track performance. I felt like we had good pace in the second half at IRP and at Bristol too. We’ll need to pick the right strategy on Friday night and do my part on track to give us a good finish.”
