The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series turned laps at Phoenix Raceway Thursday for a 50-minute practice session ahead of Friday’s season finale event. A total of 35 trucks are entered for the event on Friday with no trucks scheduled to go home after qualifying.
Corey Heim, one of four drivers racing for the series title, paced the session with a quick time of 26.285s / 136.960 mph. Heim enters the weekend having six wins on the season.
Other playoff drivers Grant Enfinger and Ty Majeski rounded out the top three on the leaderboard. Majeski spent most of the practice fastest in his No. 98 Ford.
Taylor Gray and Connor Mosack rounded out the top five trucks.
Martinsville winner and one of four playoff drivers Christian Eckes sat sixth on the leaderboard.
The rest of the top 10 included Stewart Friesen, William Sawalich, Layne Riggs, and Deam Thompson.
The series will return on track Friday at 4:05 p.m. ET for qualifying.
