Elimination night in Martinsville for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series saw two playoff drivers with issues. First, in practice with Tyler Ankrum whose truck was the slowest in the field and only would end up running a handful of laps before pulling back on pit road for the team to work on the truck.
Ankrum would end up qualifying 23rd during qualifying.
The second playoff driver with an issue would be the already locked in Grant Enfinger who was the last truck to go out in qualifying to post a 33rd position starting time.
However, it would be Christian Eckes who would take the pole for his third pole of the 2024 campaign with a time of 19.556 second at 96.830 mph with Ty Majeski sitting on the outside pole with a time of 19.561 seconds at 96.805 mph.
Taylor Gray would slow in third followed by Nick Sanchez and Lanye Riggs rounding out the top-five starters.
Heim starts from the seventh spot with Caruth starting 11th as the final two playoff drivers in the field.
Caruth, Ankrum, Gray and Sanchez all enter tonight below the cut off line.
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Zip Buy Now Pay Later 200 is scheduled to roll at 6 p.m. ET tonight on FS1 with stage breaks on laps 50, 100 and 200.
