Jason White Earns Track Best Finish at Talladega

In his fifth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start at Talladega Superspeedway, Jason White brought home Joe Denette Motorsports its second top-five of the 2011 season, finishing fifth in the Coca-Cola 250 presented by Fred’s on Saturday evening. The solid effort was the veteran driver’s career-best finish at the 2.5-mile superspeedway.

Starting 19th, White got shuffled back in the opening laps of 94-lap event. Utilizing pit strategy, the series veteran moved back up to the front and maintained his position inside the top-15 for the remainder of the evening.

With less than 10 laps remaining in the event, White teamed up with the No. 5of Todd Bodine and together, the two made a sprint to the finish. Because of that final push, White crossed the finish line in the fifth position behind race winner, Mike Wallace.

Jason White Quotes:

“This race was all about having a ‘dancing partner’ and the two KHI trucks really showed everyone that tonight. I wanted to hook up with Todd (Bodine) a lot sooner, but it just never worked out. We finally got to each other with less than 10 laps to go and man were we good together. I really feel like if that last caution flag wouldn’t have come out, we really could have had it. We got a run on the high-side and we were coming, fast. It was a solid night for this GunBroker.com team; we stayed out of trouble, came home in one piece and had a solid finish. I had fun.”
