Contreras Motorsports Ready For Martinsville

Contreras Motorsports heads to Martinsville Speedway for the third race of the 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.

Mike Bliss will be behind the wheel of the No. 71 RaceTrac Silverado. Bliss, a past champion of the series in 2002, has 13 wins in the NCWTS and more than 700 starts across NASCAR’s national series. The former Joe Gibbs Racing driver will serve as a fundamental piece of Contreras Motorsport’s development in its debut season.

Co-owner of the team and driver of the first two races of the season, Carlos Contreras, will now be serving as chief of racing operations for the team. Carlos’ experience will ease the team’s growth as the season unfolds.

“I am really glad and excited that my friend Mike Bliss will be joining Contreras Motorsports, I am sure that his extensive experience will help the team’s development,” Carlos Contreras said. “I am highly motivated with this new position as chief of racing operations, I hope that I can help the team reach its maximum potential,” he added.

The no. 71 Chevy Silverado will have RaceTrac’s traditional colors for the second time this season, red white and blue.

After a positive learning experience at Atlanta Motor Speedway last month, crew chief Tim Andrews has spent hours at the shop getting the truck’s setup ready for this weekend’s race at Martinsville.

The NCWTS Alpha 250 will take place this Saturday, April 2nd at 2:30 P.M. (ET) / 12:30 P.M. (Mexico City) at the 0.526-mile Martinsville Speedway. The race can be seen live on FS1 in the United States and Fox Sports 3 in Latin America.
