NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Rookie David Levine Is Ready For Daytona

David Levine will make his second career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start, and his first NCWTS start at Daytona International Speedway, on Friday, February 19th in the Next Era Energy Resources 250. 

 

Levine will be behind the wheel for MAKE Motorsports in the No. 1 Chevrolet Silverado. Levine is a Brand Ambassador for Revant Optics and their logo will be clearly seen on his truck.

 

“I’m really excited to be racing at Daytona in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series,” Levine commented. “I really want to thank Revant Optics and MAKE Motorsports for making this possible. Racing allows me to raise awareness about Congenital Heart Defects – a cause very close to my heart. I was born with several CHDs and had surgery when I was 4 months old.  Since February is “heart month,” I hope that my racing at Daytona will not only raise awareness but also lift the spirits of kids all over the country with CHDs.” 

 

Levine has experience on the 2.5 mile Daytona high-banks from last year’s ARCA Racing Series event at the track, where he had a top 20 finish. The Highland Park, IL native, who now lives in Mooresville, NC, competed full time in ARCA competition last year, ending the season as the highest finishing rookie in the points standings after collecting 11 top ten finishes, as well as four Hard Charger Awards and two Rookie of the Race Awards. 

 

In November last year, Levine made his NCWTS debut in the season-finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. After qualifying his way into the race in a truck with no owner points, he raced to a 17th place finish. 

 

“With the completion of the Daytona Rising project, I am looking forward to racing in one of the first events at the track. The history of Daytona is legendary. I cannot thank my family and friends enough for all of their support over the years!  Racing at Daytona in any NASCAR

series has been a dream of mine for as long as I have been racing. I am beyond thankful for this opportunity and cannot wait to get back on track after a long offseason.”
