Ben Kennedy Relegated to 23rd-place Finish at New Hampshire
This weekend the NASCAR Camping World Series celebrated a milestone with its 500th race while at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Ben Kennedy and the No. 11 Local Motors team turned in the 12th-fastest times in both practice sessions on Friday afternoon. The Daytona Beach, Florida native returned to the Magic Mile on Saturday morning, advancing to the second round of knockout qualifying to earn the 15th-starting position for the UNOH 175. Kennedy took the green flag and climbed to the 11th position by the second caution period of the afternoon on lap 35. He reported that the black and white machine was loose on the entry and exit of the turns. The Scott Zipadelli-led team changed four tires, added fuel and made track bar and air pressure adjustments to help the Tundra's balance. Late in the 175-lap event, another competitor made hard contact with the left-side of the No. 11 Toyota, forcing it into the outside wall. Kennedy drove it to the garage to the attention of the Red Horse Racing team, where they quickly made repairs and returned him to the track on lap 152, 16 laps down to the leader and taking the checkered flag in the 23rd position. Running a "double" this weekend, Kennedy departed the Loudon, New Hampshire race track and headed to Augusta, Georgia where he will compete in his first IRONMAN 70.3 with his mother, Lesa France Kennedy, on Sunday morning.

Ben Kennedy Quote:
"Thank you to this No. 11 team. They worked hard all weekend, and we found some good speed in the Tundra. Unfortunately we didn't get the finish we deserved today here (at New Hampshire Motor Speedway). It certainly wasn't from a lack of trying. We'll move on to Las Vegas (Motor Speedway) next weekend."
