NCWTS: Erik Jones Victorious at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park

Erik Jones will walk away with the victory on Sunday afternoon at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park in the third annual Chevrolet Silverado 250. Jones led five different times over the course of the race to lead a total of 19 laps. The win on Sunday will give Jones his sixth career Camping World Truck Series victory for Kyle Busch Motorsports.

Matt Crafton will leave the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park with the runner-up finishing position. The California native had a clean day behind the wheel of his No. 88 Toyota Tundra after staying upfront for most of the afternoon. Crafton will walk away with his ninth top five and 13th top 10 finish of the year.

Ben Kennedy crossed the line in third when the checkered flag waved on Sunday at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. The third-place finish will tie Kennedy’s best this season that came at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in the second race of the season. The Florida native now holds two top five and five top finishes here in 2015.

Alex Tagliani had one of the best trucks on Sunday after starting on the pole in his No. 29 Cooper Standard Ford for Brad Keselowski Racing. Tagliani led eight laps of the Chevrolet Silverado 250 for a total of three different times throughout the afternoon. Tagliani will walk away with a fifth-place finish despite running out of fuel on the final lap while racing Erik Jones for the lead.

Tyler Reddick will leave the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park on Sunday no longer as the series point’s leader. That is because Reddick was involved in a late race caution with Gray Gaulding on lap 59. Reddick ended the day with a 19th-place finish after getting into the tire barrier in turn eight. Reddick will now sit third in the standings as the series will take a two week hiatus.

Erik Jones will lead the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series standings going into the Chicagoland Speedway in two weeks. Jones has a three point lead over two-time defending Camping World Truck Series champion Matt Crafton with eight races remaining. Tyler Reddick, Johnny Sauter and Daniel Hemric round out the top five.

The American Ethanol 225 at the Chicagoland Speedway will take place on September 18. FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports Go will have all of the action live at 8:30 p.m. ET. Fans can also listen to live radio coverage provided by the Motor Racing Network.
