NCWTS: Joey Logano Steals the Clock at Martinsville

JOPLIN, Mo – Joey Logano brought home the victory on Saturday at the Martinsville Speedway to become the 26th driver in NASCAR history to score wins in all three of the national series. Driving for Brad Keselowski Racing, Logano led six different times for 150 of the 258 laps. The win did not come easy for the Middletown, CT. native as a caution with two laps left caused the race to go into overtime.

Matt Crafton will take home a second-place finish in his No. 88 Menards Toyota Tundra after leading 100 laps on Saturday afternoon. Crafton, who came into the Kroger 250 second in the points standings, earned his third top 10 finish of the season after three races. He was 0.431 seconds behind the race winner when the race ended.

Erik Jones crossed the line in third when the race ended on Saturday to earn his ninth career top five finish in the Camping World Truck Series. Jones started the day from fourth and stayed up towards the front all afternoon long. The 18-year old led two of the 258 laps.

Cole Custer had a wild day behind the wheel of his No. 00 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports. After starting the Kroger 250 in second, Custer never got going. His day got worse on lap 37 after getting caught speeding on pit road during yellow flag pit stops. He drove his way back to the front before getting caught speeding on the pit lane for a second time. Custer finally drove his way back to the front with a handful of laps remaining. Once he caught the leader with about six laps left, Custer got punted and brought out the caution that sent the race into overtime. He went on to finish 16th.

John Hunter Nemechek had problems all afternoon long in his No. 8 NEMCO Chevrolet. On lap 173, Nemechek took his ride to the garage area after having a problem with either the drive shaft or transmission. He will leave the Martinsville Speedway with a 29th-place finish.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will pack their bags for another month of hiatus before heading to the midwest. You can catch the Kansas 250 at the Kansas Speedway on May 8 at 7:30 p.m. Et. live on FOX Sports 1. The Motor Racing Network will carry the live radio broadcast.
