Tilted Kilt On Tap with Korbin Forrister at Daytona

The first time Korbin Forrister ever ran on a paved racetrack he was testing an ARCA series car in the world’s most famous high-banked track. Since that day the Georgia driver has dreamed of returning to the Daytona International Speedway to compete in a NASCAR race. That dream will come true on Friday night when he takes the wheel of the SS Green Light Racing No. 08 Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery Chevrolet Silverado for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series NextEra Energy Resources 250.

“I’ve tested an ARCA car twice at Daytona, but never ran a race there,” Forrister said. “Actually, it was my first asphalt experience. I’ve run Talladega in the ARCA Series in 2013 and the NCWTS race last fall. I think we’ll have a similar strategy to what I ran there, so we should be alright Friday night.”

Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery will adorn the hood and quarter panels of Forrister’s Chevy Silverado for the NextEra Energy Resources 250. “Tilted Kilt will be with us for the whole season. Some races they will share the truck with associate sponsors, but for the really big races like this week at Daytona they will have the whole truck. We’re going to do our best to stay out of trouble and get a good finish for them.”

Veteran crew chief Tripp Bruce will be calling the shots for Forrister from atop the SS Green Light Racing pit box this season. “Tripp seems like a pretty easy going guy,” Forrister said. “We’ve had a few chances to talk and I know he’s very good at what he does, I can’t wait to work with him.”

“I’m anxious to get to the track and see what we can do together. I’m planning to move up to North Carolina in a few weeks so I can spend some time in the shop and learn more about the trucks,” Korbin concluded. “I’m excited to work with Bobby (Dotter,) BJ (McLeod) and everyone on the team.”
