Sauter hopes to revisit Homestead success

If history truly does repeat itself, then Johnny Sauter is in prime position to finish the 2014 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season on a high note. The Nextant Aerospace/Curb Records driver has made seven NCWTS starts at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway since 2003, amassing one win (2011), two top-five and four top-10 finishes. In a season that’s been highlighted with highs and lows, the ThorSport Racing driver would like nothing more than to capitalize on his south Florida success and finish his sixth full-time season on a high note by revisiting victory lane on Friday night.

Sounding Off – Johnny Sauter:

“Homestead is one of those tracks that I seem to forget about when people ask me to name my favorite racetracks. For some reason, maybe because it’s late in the year, it’s just one of those race tracks that don’t come to mind right away. When you look at it on the schedule, you immediately say, ‘Yeah, that’s a fun track.’ Being so competitive there doesn’t hurt how I feel about it either. It’s so much fun because you have options – you can really race anywhere around the race track – from top to bottom, wherever you have to go. So, there’s no way I couldn’t say that Homestead isn’t one of my top-five favorite tracks because I just like the race track and the way it’s laid out.”
