Townley Looks Forward to Trucks Return at Loudon

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will return to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the first time since 2011.  John Wes Townley, piloting the No. 05 Zaxby’s Athenian Motorsports Toyota, looks forward to going back to the 1.058-mile Loudon, NH short track.

“I’m excited the truck series is going back to New Hampshire,” John Wes Townley said. “I have only raced their once several years ago.  But I do remember Loudon as a very flat, challenging, short track.  It is really tough on tires and it isn’t easy to pass on the narrow straights.  Most people see it as more of a larger Martinsville (Speedway).  I’m really glad that NASCAR is giving the trucks extra practice this week so the Athenian Motorsports team can get the Zaxby’s truck dialed in for the race on Saturday.”

Townley has one start in the NASCAR Nationwide Series on New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 2009.

The UNOH 175 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race is slate to begin on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 1:00pm.  Fox Sports 1 will broadcast extended live televised coverage from New Hampshire starting with practice on Friday, September 19t at 1:30pm and 3:30pm.  Qualifying will be televised at 10:00am Saturday, September 20th, with prerace coverage beginning at 12:30pm.  MRN and Sirius NASCAR Radio Channel 90 will begin race coverage Saturday at 12:00pm.
