Tyler Reddick Pocono Post-Race

Tyler Reddick (@tylerredick), driver of the No. 19 Reese Towpower Ford F-150, was credited with a 23rd place finish following the Pocono Mountains 150 Saturday afternoon at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway.

Reddick grabbed the third place starting position during qualifying Saturday morning, his best effort in eight career starts.  He ran well during the opening segment of the race, running third when the first caution of the race waved on lap 17.  He took the lead on lap 21 when both trucks ahead of him chose to pit and was running third when he made his scheduled stop under green on lap 31.

From there Reddick’s misfortune began.  He made contact with another truck leaving pit road and was hit with a speeding penalty.  Fortunately Reddick was able to catch a caution on lap 48 and he was able to make up the lost track position.  He restarted 11th but was involved in accidents on laps 55 and 59 that ended his afternoon prematurely and he learned some valuable lessons during a post-race conversation with NASCAR officials.
