However, an incident on lap 63 with another competitor caused serious damage to the No. 30 Rheem Comfort Products Chevrolet, relegating him to a 21st-place finish at Iowa.

Ron Hornaday Jr. on Racing at Eldora Speedway

“I’m looking forward to returning to Eldora Speedway and racing on Wednesday night in the dirt. Our teams went out and tested a few weeks ago and I think we learned a lot that we can take with us this week. Eldora is so different from anything we do, but I really enjoy it and I think the fans do as well. Hopefully we can stay out of trouble and be there at the end; you just never know in a race like this.”
