Doug George Joins Team For SFP 250 at Kansas Speedway

MB Motorsports heads to Kansas Speedway with crew chief Doug George atop the pit box. “Mike [Mittler] and I go way back,” says George. “I drove for the team back in ’98 and now I’m here as crew chief. I have to say this team is in the best shape I have ever seen it. I’m really excited about our prospects for Friday’s race.”

Driver Justin Jennings, a native of LaGrange, MO, returns for his second start at the mile and a half track in the Mittler Brothers Machine & Tool / LG SEEDS Chevy Silverado. He is currently 12th in the drivers point standings. “I like Kansas Speedway, it really strikes a balance between the characteristics of all the intermediate tracks we race at,” notes Jennings. “We’ve got a new truck for the SFP 250, so we’re really excited to see what the Mittler Brothers Machine & Tool / LG SEEDS Chevy Silverado can do.”

Team owner Mike Mittler is very pleased with his teams effort this season. “Our guys have done a tremendous job getting our new intermediate truck ready for Kansas. I feel pretty confident that we can put on a good show for our partners at LG SEEDS and Excel Bottling / Ski Soda. Justin has a great instinct for these mile and a half tracks and he gives excellent feedback on how the truck is performing and what it needs as the race progresses. Having Doug working with him will only improve his performance.”
