Joey Logano Michigan Post-Race Report

Joey Logano (@JoeyLogano), driver of the No. 19 Draw-Tite Ford F-150, made his third start for Brad Keselowski Racing (@TeamBKR) in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) during the Michigan National Guard 200 Saturday at Michigan International Speedway. Logano qualified in the 20th position earlier in the day.

Logano came roaring up through the field early and by lap 13 was in the seventh position. On lap 16, crew chief, Chad Kendrick, brought the Draw-Tite machine to pit road for fuel and a track bar adjustment.

With the fourth caution of the afternoon falling on lap 57 for debris on the track, Logano received the lucky dog, putting him back on the lead lap with 40 to go when the field went back to green.

On the final restart of the afternoon, Logano and his Draw-Tite F-150 restarted eighth and managed to claw their way up to a hard-fought fourth place finish.

Primary sponsor of the No. 19 BKR entry, Draw-Tite, was extremely visible at the track this afternoon. The Cequent Performance brand had a large assembly of guests in the main grandstand, as well as strong crowd at their hospitality chalet where Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski appeared after the conclusion of the race.

The No. 19 BKR team now sits sixth in the NCWTS owner points standings, 66 points back from first.

“What a strong day we had in the BKR Draw-Tite F-150. Starting 20th and moving up through the field like we did and finishing in the top five, is certainly satisfying. I have to thank my friend and teammate, Brad Keselowski, for the opportunity to race his Truck. It’s always a blast and I’m looking forward to the next opportunity later this season.” – Joey Logano
