Officials from Statesville, North Carolina-based Bebida Beverage Company (BeBevCo.) confirmed today that they have reunited with FAS Lane Racing to become an associate sponsor on the team’s No. 32 Ford Fusion for the 55th running of the Daytona 500.

In 2011, KOMA Unwind partnered with the Frank Stoddard-owned team for the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway with veteran racer Ken Schrader behind the wheel. Next weekend, KOMA Unwind returns to the Cup scene for their Daytona 500 debut with former two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Terry Labonte at the helm.

The team will promote the company’s quickly-growing and popular KOMA Unwind Relaxation Drink brand on their No. 32 Ford Fusion for “The Great American Race”. The event will mark the first race that KOMA Unwind has backed Labonte.

Developed by BeBevCo., KOMA Unwind relaxes those who drink it. It also helps them improve both the duration and quality of their sleep with flair and favor. KOMA Unwind is formulated to relax the body, mind and soul. It is the perfect lifestyle beverage for those who can appreciate reduced stress, reduced anxiety or a great night of sleep.

The relaxation or “anti-energy” drink category is a fairly new to the beverage industry. This type of drink is dedicated to helping consumers achieve a level of relaxation without the use of pills or alcohol.

With plans to have a healthy presence in Motorsports this season, KOMA Unwind hopes to continue feeding the flames of a “relaxation revolution” in a way to chill without a pill.

“We’re very proud and excited to be reuniting with FAS Lane Racing for the Daytona 500,” said Brian Weber, CEO of BeBevCo. “It’s also an honor for us to have a racing icon like Terry Labonte representing our brand in such a prestigious race.”

Labonte, the Corpus Christi, Texas native is poised to make his 31st start in the Daytona 500. His best finish in the “Super Bowl of Stock Car” racing is second, achieved three times during his astounding Cup career. The 22-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series winner will make his 882nd career start at the 2.5-mile speedway.

The two-time Sprint Cup champion will rewrite the record books in the season-opener surpassing former rival Bill Elliott for the most starts at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. Currently, the two are tied at 60 starts a piece, but Labonte will inherit sole possession of that statistic once the green flag drops.

“There’s no doubt that Terry will be a great ambassador for our brand,” continued Weber, himself a part-time NASCAR driver. “We’re hoping that sips of KOMA Unwind throughout the weekend will give him the relaxation he needs to have a strong run at Daytona.”

MB Motorsports, one of the original NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ teams, is set to return to Daytona International Speedway with Scott Stenzel behind the wheel of the #63 Yellow Stripes: Making The Driver / Mittler Brothers Machine Tool Ford. Stenzel will be looking to make his first series start at Daytona, although he successfully ran the 2011 ARCA race at the famed speedway.

After having run two races with MB Motorsports last season, Stenzel is looking to build on the relationship. “Last year we were able to run Kansas and Texas together. I think what we learned a lot about each other, how we communicate and we will use that to our advantage at Daytona.”

“We had a couple pretty good runs together last season,” says team owner Mike Mittler. “Scott brought the truck home without a scratch both times, finishing 23rd & 24th. I think what we learned from that provides a pretty good foundation to build on for Daytona. That, combined with the fact that Scott already has some experience here, puts us in pretty good shape.”

Crew Chief Randy Dean is excited about the team’s prospects as well. “The MB Motorsports crew has been working overtime to get the #63 Yellow Stripes / Mittler Brothers Ford in race trim. “I really can’t say enough about these guys,” says Dean. “If this Ford is as fast as it looks in the shop, we should have a pretty good night on Friday.” Mittler agrees, adding “I don’t believe we have ever had a truck that has been so thoroughly and carefully prepared as this one.”

Since becoming a Toyota-powered competitor in 2008, Kyle Busch has provided the manufacturer with a remarkable 84 victories across NASCAR's top three series, most notably, their first-ever NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory at Atlanta Motor Speedway in March of 2008. In Friday night's NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, Busch will be looking to put his No. 51 Toyota Care Tundra into victory lane and celebrate another milestone win with Toyota, their 100th NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory.

After running just three Truck Series races in 2012, Kyle Busch Motorsports' (KBM) owner-driver has increased his schedule to 10 events in 2013, all with sponsorship from Toyota Care - - the complimentary maintenance plan provided with the purchase or lease of every new Toyota. In his three events last season, the Las Vegas native scored two runner-up finishes and a fourth-place result.

Over 10 seasons as a competitor in the Truck Series, all limited schedules, the 27-year-old driver has registered 30 career victories, which trails only Ron Hornaday's series-leading 51 wins. Busch's career Truck Series Driver Rating of 119.3 and Average Finish of 7.4 rank first all-time among Truck Series drivers. With 20 runner-up finishes to go along with his 30 wins, he has finished in the top two in 48.1% of his 104 career starts in NASCAR's third division.

Getting Toyota to victory lane is something that Busch has become accustomed to the last five seasons. He has contributed the most individual wins for Toyota in each of NASCAR's top three series, registering 20 of their 49 career Sprint Cup Series victories, 40 of their 74 Nationwide Series victories and 24 of their 99 Camping World Truck Series victories. In addition to his 24 wins as a Tundra driver, Busch's has been a part of four additional Toyota Truck Series wins as an owner, with Kasey Kahne (1), Denny Hamlin (2) and Brian Scott (1) all registering victories for KBM.

After a rough 2012 season, Busch will be looking to get off to a fast start in all three series in 2013. There would be no better way to start off the 2013 season then being able to reward Toyota for their support of his No. 51 Tundra by taking care of their 100th Truck Series win Friday night.

It is with great excitement that we announce the merger of British Columbia’s two main Sportsman Racing Series. The alliance comes after months of hard work behind the scenes between OK Tire Sportsman series President Gary MacCarthy, Kendall Thomas, ASA Advance Testing BC Late Model Tour President John Ross and ASA President Dennis Huth.

The new series, titled “ASA OK Tire Sportsman Series presented by Advance Testing” is expected to increase car counts at tracks throughout the province and build the sportsman class back to its former strength. “We are so happy to have the continued support of ASA here in the province of BC,” says John Ross. “Their marketing support and national coverage give us a big advantage in getting exposure for our drivers and sponsors.”

The series will run the existing OK Tire Sportsman Series schedule throughout British Columbia on the Hoosier 970 tire run last season by the ASA Advance Testing tour. All other rules will remain unchanged.

Advance Testing and OK Tire will work in conjunction as the title sponsors, while previous ASA Series Contingency sponsors will be welcomed into the newly named series. “Our goal is to continue to build race & points purses with marketing partners throughout the province and the ASA gives us the greatest leverage for their exposure,” said series president Gary MacCarthy.

The payout structure will continue to work as it has in the past to encourage racers to come from all over, no matter the distance and we will be encouraging island racers with a $250 ferry payout for any that plan on making the trip. “This merger will really help increase our car counts and that’s what we’re most excited about!” exclaims Thomas. “It’s what our fans, our tracks and our race teams want… great turnouts, top level competitors and exciting shows.”

“We are proud to sanction the ASA OK Tire Sportsman Series presented by Advance Testing,” Dennis Huth, ASA Racing President said. “We feel that this merger will be beneficial for the racers and the fans of British Columbia short track racing. We look forward to an incredible 2013 season.”
