AdvoCare to Sponsor No. 43 Ford at Atlanta Race

Health and wellness company AdvoCare will power the No. 43 Ford Fusion on Labor Day weekend, sponsoring Aric Almirola at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway.  The award-winning company, which offers energy, weight-loss, nutrition, and sports performance products, will also be the title sponsor of the September 2 Sprint Cup race, the AdvoCare 500, for the second consecutive year.

The event will mark the 2012 debut of the AdvoCare blue and white colors on Richard Petty Motorsports’ No. 43 Ford Fusion.  But the company is no stranger to Almirola.  The 28-year-old driver is a regular user of AdvoCare products in his nutrition and fitness regimen.

“Everything in racing is about having a competitive edge, and I feel AdvoCare products give me a competitive edge,” Almirola said. “But you don’t have to be a professional athlete to benefit from their products.  Anyone who wants to get more out of their workouts or sports activities can benefit.  I’ve used AdvoCare products for a while, and now it will be cool to have the company on my No. 43 Ford, too.”

Almirola has a top-five finish and two top-10 finishes collectively in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and Camping World Truck Series at Atlanta.  The AdvoCare 500 will be his second Sprint Cup Series start at the 1.54-mile oval.

“We’re excited to be back on the No. 43 Ford this season in Atlanta,” said AdvoCare Director of Sponsorships Mike Vaught. “The way the Petty family has done business over the years shows a lot of the same principles that we abide by in our own company – maintaining a standard of excellence, committing to honor and integrity, and putting a focus on family. We’re proud to partner with the team and with Aric for the AdvoCare 500.”
