NASCAR Drivers Rally for YFT 150 at Old Dominion Speedway

One of motorsports’ fastest-growing traditions has returned to bring race fans another night of action-packed excitement. Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas, Va. will host the third annual Youth for Tomorrow 150 on Saturday, July 21, 2012. Headlining the event will be drivers from NASCAR’s top series, including Landon Cassill, Travis Kvapil and Mike Skinner.

A full day of festivities is on tap for Saturday. The gates will open at 4:00 p.m. Fan Appreciation will start at 4:30, followed by a Parade of Stars. The green flag for the first of five racing events drops at 7:00 with the signature race starting at 8:30. A fireworks show will end the night at the conclusion of the winners circle presentations.

“We’re all really excited about this event,” Landon Cassill, driver of the No. 83 Burger King/Dr Pepper Toyota, said. “This is going to be good, old-fashioned, short-track racing. This is how everyone in NASCAR got their start. It’s going to be a lot of fun to get back to our roots and race at Old Dominion under the lights on Saturday night. That’s what racing is all about.”

Race proceeds will benefit Joe Gibbs’ Youth for Tomorrow organization. Youth For Tomorrow is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and compassionate environment for at-risk youth who have been abandoned, abused, or otherwise alienated from family and community.

“We’ve got some of racing’s best drivers coming out to Old Dominion Speedway, so it’s going to be a great show,” Travis Kvapil, driver of the No. 93 Burger King/Dr Pepper Toyota, said. “This will be a lot of fun, no doubt about it. We’re also helping a great cause, the Youth For Tomorrow. It’s an organization that’s important to our team and we’re all proud to support it.”
