Presbyterian Healthcare Unveils No. 98 Ford Fusion for McDowell

Presbyterian Healthcare unveiled the No. 98 Presbyterian Healthcare No. 98 Ford Monday afternoon at their hospital in downtown Charlotte. The unveil was part of their formal sponsorship announcement of Phil Parsons Racing and driver Michael McDowell.

As part of the sponsorship, McDowell’s car will exclusively sport the Presbyterian Healthcare logo during the Coca-Cola 600 race weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway beginning Thursday, May 24.
Presbyterian is using the partnership as an opportunity to promote to a wide audience the importance of regular health screenings to save lives.

The back of McDowell’s car will publicize a Presbyterian website (www.HealthPitStop.org ). The site helps people better understand which screenings they should have based on their ages and health history and how to access the screenings through Presbyterian Healthcare/Novant Health’s programs.

The car will now be on display at Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville on May 22 from 2-7 p.m. and at Presbyterian Hospital Matthews on May 23 from 2-7 p.m.

“Michael, who lives in Huntersville, believes in what Presbyterian Healthcare is doing to help make our communities healthier. He has used Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville for care several times so this partnership is more personal for him,” said Mark Billings, president and CEO of Presbyterian Healthcare.

“I’m proud to be able to partner with Presbyterian Healthcare this weekend,” said McDowell. “They are true leaders in the Charlotte area of professional healthcare, but also care about the community. We’d love to see race fans come out and learn more about health screenings. Even just visiting the site could help improve your health. Hopefully we’re going to make a difference.”
