Ducks Unlimited to race under the lights this weekend at Bristol

The Ducks Unlimited (DU) duck head will fly under the lights at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend thanks to a generous donation from Bass Pro Shops. The DU logo will appear on three separate cars along with logos from other conservation organizations.

The Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Quality Deer Management Association logos will appear on three cars during the race: No. 3 driven by Austin Dillon, No. 8 driven by Daniel Hemric and No. 19 driven by Martin Truex Jr.

“Bass Pro Shops has long been a great partner to DU, and this special logo reinforces their strong commitment to conservation,” said DU CEO Adam Putnam. “DU is proud to join our fellow conservation groups in showcasing to all our NASCAR friends the passion that hunters and anglers have for the outdoors.”

The special paint schemes were generous donations by Bass Pro Shops, and millions of people will see the DU logo thanks to Bass Pro Shops.

“All of us at Bass Pro Shops are honored to donate these special paint schemes as a tribute to Ducks Unlimited and their ongoing commitment to conservation and education,” said Johnny Morris, founder/CEO of Bass Pro Shops. “Conservation is the only way we can ensure our grandchildren and their children will have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors like our generation has.”

The race is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m. EST on Saturday evening.
