NBC Sports Presents Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Racing from Michigan International Speedway This Sunday at 3 P.M. ET on NBCSN

NBC Sports travels to NASCAR’s fastest track this weekend with live coverage of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Consumer Energy 400 at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Mich., this Sunday, August 11, at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN. This weekend’s live NASCAR coverage also features Xfinity Series racing from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, this Saturday, August 10, at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Entering Sunday’s Cup Series race at Michigan, Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 18 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing, leads the regular season standings with 851 points and 4 wins, followed by Joey Logano (838 points, 2 wins) and Kevin Harvick (777 points, 1 win). They will battle against Denny Hamlin (771 points, 3 wins), Martin Truex Jr. (753 points, 4 wins) and Michigan native Brad Keselowski (728 points, 3 wins). Harvick won last year’s August race at Michigan. Logano won the pole and took the checkered flag at this season’s first Michigan race in June.

Last weekend, Chase Elliott became just the fifth driver in NASCAR history to win back-to-back races at Watkins Glen. This was Elliott’s second win of the season and fifth career win.

NASCAR CUP SERIES RACING FROM MICHIGAN – SUNDAY AT 3 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series coverage begins Friday at 12:30 p.m. ET with the first practice on NBCSN, followed by qualifying at 5 p.m. ET and NASCAR America Fan Friday will return Friday at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN live from Michigan International Speedway. The program will originate from the Peacock Pit Box amongst the fans at Michigan and will include numerous driver interviews.

Coverage continues Saturday at 8:30 a.m. ET on CNBC with the second practice for the Cup Series and shifts to streaming coverage of the final practice at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Sunday’s race-day coverage begins at 2 p.m. ET with NASCAR America live from the Peacock Pit Box on Pit Road followed by Countdown to Green at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Live coverage of the Consumer Energy 400 begins at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Wrapping up race-day coverage, NBCSN will present a half-hour post-race show at 6 p.m. ET, followed by NASCAR Victory Lap at 6:30 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports’ lead race announcer Rick Allen will call the action alongside 21-time Cup Series winner Jeff Burton. Daytona 500 winning crew chief Steve Letarte and two-time Daytona 500 Champion Dale Earnhardt Jr. will provide commentary from a second booth.

NBC Sports’ NASCAR pre-race host Krista Voda, auto racing icon Kyle Petty, and NBC analyst and Hall of Fame driver Dale Jarrett will host NASCAR America as well as all pre- and post-race coverage. Marty Snider, Kelli Stavast, and Parker Kligerman will provide commentary and interviews from pit-road.

Host Danielle Trotta, NBCSports.com lead motorsports writer Nate Ryan and motorsport analyst and current driver AJ Allmendinger will host Victory Lap, taking calls from fans and discussing the biggest stories of the race weekend.

XFINITY SERIES RACING MID OHIO – SATURDAY AT 3 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

NBC Sports’ Xfinity Series coverage from Mid-Ohio begins Friday with first practice at 1:30 p.m. ET, followed by final practice at 4 p.m. ET which will stream on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app. Race day coverage kicks off Saturday at 11:30 a.m. ET with qualifying, followed by live Xfinity Series racing at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Tyler Reddick (889 points, 3 wins), Christopher Bell (857 points, and 5 wins) and Cole Custer (790 points, 5 wins) are the top three drivers in the Xfinity Series. Austin Cindric earned his first career Xfinity Series win at Watkins Glen last weekend on NBC.

DAVE MARCIS FEATURED GUEST ON DALE JR. DOWNLOAD TODAY AT 5 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

Today’s episode of the Dale Jr. Download at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN will feature NASCAR legend Dave Marcis. Marcis’ career spanned five decades earning him five wins and 222 top ten finishes. NBC Sports has launched the free-to-play NASCAR Pick ’Em game, where fans can win upwards of $10,000 by making the right picks for each week’s NASCAR Cup Series race. Last week, a whopping 18 players recorded perfect scores and split the $20,000 jackpot. The jackpot now returns to $10,000 for this weekend’s race at Michigan.

NBC Sports and NASCAR have partnered to launch the #MyTrackMyRoots Grassroots Racing Tour – a grassroots initiative which celebrates and promotes local tracks across America that have launched the dreams and careers of NASCAR drivers and continue to cultivate a passion for racing in their local communities.

Current and former drivers from the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Gander Outdoor Truck Series will join with NBC Sports and NASCAR to spearhead a nationwide initiative to visit and promote more than 500 local tracks across the country over the next four months.
