NBC Sports Presents Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Racing From “The Magic Mile” in New Hampshire this Saturday, July 21, at 3 P.M. ET on NBCSN

Coming off last week’s thrilling finish between Kurt Busch and Kyle Busch at Kentucky Speedway, NBC Sports heads to ”The Magic Mile” in Loudon, N.H., this weekend to present live coverage of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 from New Hampshire Motor Speedway this Sunday, July 21, at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN. NBC Sports will super-serve fans with more than 18 hours of trackside coverage this week, including Xfinity Series racing from New Hampshire this Saturday, July 20, at 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Entering Sunday’s Cup Series race, Joey Logano, driver of the No. 22 Ford Mustang for Team Penske, leads the regular season standings with 746 points and 2 wins, followed by Kyle Busch (735 points, 4 wins) and Kevin Harvick (645 points, 0 wins), who won in New Hampshire last year. They will battle against Brad Keselowski (630 points, 3 wins), Denny Hamlin (627 points, 2 wins) and Martin Truex Jr. (618 points, 4 wins). Both Busch and Truex Jr. earned Top-5 finishes in last year’s New Hampshire race.

Last weekend, Kurt Busch edged out brother Kyle Busch in an overtime thriller at Kentucky Speedway.  This was Kurt Busch’s first win of the season, his first win with Chip Ganassi Racing, and the first Cup Series win for his crew chief, Matt McCall.

NASCAR CUP SERIES RACING FROM NEW HAMPSHIRE – SUNDAY AT 3 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series coverage begins Friday at 12:15 p.m. ET with the first practice on NBCSN, followed by qualifying at 4:30 p.m. ET and NASCAR America on-site from New Hampshire at 5:30 p.m. ET. Coverage continues Saturday at 10 a.m. ET on CNBC with the second practice for the Cup Series, and shifts to NBCSN with NASCAR America at 12 p.m. ET, and final practice at 12:30 p.m. ET.

Sunday’s race-day coverage begins at 1:30 p.m. ET with NASCAR America live from the Peacock Pit Box on Pit Road. Countdown to Green begins at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN leading into live coverage of the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 at 3 p.m. ET. NBCSN will present a half-hour post-race show at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by NASCAR Victory Lap at 7 p.m. ET.

Pre-race coverage on NASCAR America and Countdown to Green will include:

  • The latest edition of “Behind the Driver” featuring New England native Ryan Preece;
  • An essay on grassroots racing in New England voiced by NASCAR Hall of Famer Ken Squier – featuring his home track, Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vt. – as part of NBC Sports and NASCAR’s #MyTrackMyRoots Grassroots Racing Tour;
  • The Toyota Joyride with Jeff Burton around New Hampshire Motor Speedway, featuring U.S. Paralympic Gold Medalist Dave Brown.

NBC Sports’ lead race announcer Rick Allen will call the action alongside Daytona 500-winning crew chief Steve Letarte. 21-time Cup Series race winner Jeff Burton and racing legend and two-time Daytona 500 Champion Dale Earnhardt Jr. will provide commentary from a second booth.

NBC Sports’ NASCAR pre-race host Krista Voda, auto racing icon Kyle Petty, and NBC analyst and Hall of Fame driver Dale Jarrett will host NASCAR America as well as all pre- and post-race coverage. Marty Snider, Kelli Stavast, and Dave Burns.  

NBCSports.com lead motorsports writer Nate Ryan will contribute news reports throughout race weekend, and features reporter Rutledge Wood will bring viewers a collection of off-track stories during race coverage from New Hampshire.

XFINITY SERIES RACING FROM NEW HAMPSHIRE – SATURDAY AT 4 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

NBC Sports’ Xfinity Series coverage from New Hampshire begins Friday with first practice at 1 p.m. ET, followed by final practice at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Race day coverage kicks off Saturday at 11:15 a.m. ET with qualifying, followed by Countdown to Green at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Live Xfinity Series racing begins at 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Cole Custer earned his series-leading fifth win of the 2019 season last weekend at Kentucky Speedway.

NASCAR VICTORY LAP RETURNS TO NBCSN THIS SUNDAY HOSTED BY DANIELLE TROTTA

NASCAR Victory Lap, NBC Sports’ weekly NASCAR recap show, returns this Sunday night on NBCSN following the Cup Series race from New Hampshire. Similar to NASCAR America Motormouths, Victory Lap encourages fans to call in with questions and discuss the race’s biggest stories with NBC Sports’ hosts and analysts.  

Danielle Trotta will serve as the primary host for NASCAR Victory Lap this season. Trotta currently serves as a host with NBC Sports Boston where her roles include co-host of the network’s nightly studio show, Boston Sports Tonight. Trotta also co-hosts “On Track,” SiriusXM NASCAR Radio’s daily midday program. AJ Allmendinger and Parker Kligerman will join Trotta for this Sunday’s episode of NASCAR Victory Lap at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Trotta will make her NBCSN debut on Thursday’s 5 p.m. ET edition of NASCAR America Motorsports Hour.

NBC Sports and NASCAR have partnered to launch the #MyTrackMyRoots Grassroots Racing Tour – a grassroots initiative which celebrates and promotes local tracks across America that have launched the dreams and careers of NASCAR drivers and continue to cultivate a passion for racing in their local communities.

Current and former drivers from the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Gander Outdoor Truck Series will join with NBC Sports and NASCAR to spearhead a nationwide initiative to visit and promote more than 500 local tracks across the country over the next four months.
