Kvapil Aims to Continue Momentum in Second Start with BK Racing

Kvapil on Last Week’s Race at Phoenix International Raceway: “Last week’s race at Phoenix was a great way to start my relationship with BK Racing. For us to go out and accomplish what we did was pretty impressive. Throughout the week, and during the race, we kept making the car better and better. That gives me a lot of confidence in Todd (Anderson, crew chief) and the rest of my team. It shows that we’re communicating well. They understand what I’m reporting about the car and are making the right decisions to improve it. That’s huge. That was only our first week together and we scored a top-20. I think it’s a sign of things to come.”

Kvapil on Las Vegas Motor Speedway: “I’m really excited about racing at Las Vegas (Motor Speedway). Things are off to a great start with me and BK Racing. My goal is to keep the momentum up with another strong finish this week. This will be a good barometer for us. We’ll be going to more intermediate tracks this season than any other configuration, so it’s important that we develop a good platform for us to take to all of the other mile-and-a-half tracks. We’re definitely heading in the right direction with the No. 93 BK Racing team. I hope that we can leave the weekend and keep our spot in the top-25 in the owner point standings.”

Notes: Kvapil recorded BK Racing’s best finish (19th) to date last week at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR).

Kvapil made his first start with BK Racing last week at PIR. David Reutimann drove the No. 93 car in the Daytona 500.

The No. 93 BK Racing team is currently 23rd in the owner point standings.

Kvapil will be making his sixth NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in this weekend’s Kobalt Tools 400.

Kvapil carries a best starting spot of sixth-place (2005) and a best finish of eighth-place (2008) in NSCS at Las Vegas Motor Speedway into this weekend.
