Allez Cuisine to Sponsor No. 43 Ford at SUBWAY Fresh Fit 500

Chairman of Iron Chef of America, Mark Dacascos, is likely to exclaim, “Allez Cuisine!” when he cheers on the No. 43 Ford Fusion during the SUBWAY Fresh Fit 500™ at Phoenix International Raceway. Dacascos, who made the phrase popular in his starring role on the Iron Chef TV series, will serve as Honorary Race Official during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, March 4.

The No. 43 Smithfield/Allez Cuisine Ford, driven by Aric Almirola, is part of the Richard Petty Motorsports race team. Allez (ah-LAY) Cuisine is the brand name for The Chairman’s Choice line of heat and serve marinated meats and seafood owned by Dacascos. The phrase, “Allez Cuisine,” is used by Dacascos to waive the green flag on the Iron Chef’s cooking competition.

“We’re happy to have built great relationships with Smithfield Foods and Allez Cuisine,” said Phoenix International Raceway President, Bryan R. Sperber. “Fans are going to love the logo on the No. 43 Ford in Sunday’s race.”

Dacascos, who also stars on the hit TV series, Hawaii Five-O, is an accomplished martial arts champion.

“The SUBWAY Fresh Fit 500™ features The Chairman’s Choice of NASCAR drivers, the best in the world,” said Dacascos. “They demand the same high standards out of their cars as we demand in our Allez Cuisine line of foods. You be the judge.”

“Smithfield is ready to ride with No. 43 Ford Fusion driver, Aric Almirola and Allez Cuisine’s, The Chairman, in this weekend’s SUBWAY Fresh Fit 500™,” said Dennis Pittman, Smithfield Director of Communications.  “We’re proud to be a part of Richard Petty Motorsports and the Sprint Cup Series.”
