The NASCAR penalty report released on Wednesday was chalked full of penalties stemming from ISM Raceway this past Saturday and Sunday. The penalties involved six Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series teams along with two NASCAR XFINITY Series violations.

The biggest penalty handed down involved the No. 9 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series team driven by Chase Elliott. Alan Gustafson, crew chief of the No. 9 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, was fined $50,000 dollars. Josh Kirk, car chief of the No. 9 Chevrolet, will be suspended for the next two races in the series as a result of the L1 penalty.
