Go Daddy’s Danica Patrick Fired Up For Daytona!

Go Daddy’s Super Bowl star is ready to take center stage at the iconic Daytona 500 … one of NASCAR’s biggest races of the year.

Danica Patrick is set to drive the No. 10 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet Impala when she officially launches her Sprint Cup career Feb. 26 in Daytona.  And in the days leading up to the Great American Race, Danica is expected to create a buzz as she speaks with media, fans and her racing colleagues, like mentor Tony Stewart.

“I love driving stock cars … and I’m absolutely thrilled to be devoting this season to NASCAR,” Danica said. “Daytona has been a dream of mine for a while and I’m looking forward to getting down to the driving. This is going to be fun!”

Go Daddy, the sponsor that brought Danica to NASCAR two years ago and is her primary sponsor in both the NASCAR Nationwide Series and Sprint Cup Series, knows the powerful results that can come when Danica is having fun.

Go Daddy Executive Chairman and Founder Bob Parsons can speak to this first hand. “Danica said it herself after this year’s Go Daddy Super Bowl ad campaign, she had ‘a blast’ and it showed … in fact, we credit this year’s Super Bowl commercials with giving Go Daddy our best Super Bowl sales numbers in the history of the company,” Parsons said.  “When Danica has fun, good things happen.”

Go Daddy is the world’s largest provider of Web hosting, domain names and new SSL Certificates and has featured Danica in a record 10 Super Bowl commercials, more than any other celebrity ever.

Go Daddy has itself had fun with Danica’s sponsorship process heading in to Daytona as well. Parsons and the Go Daddy marketing team helped design the No. 10 GoDaddy.com Chevy that will power Danica in this year’s Sprint Cup races — 10 this year with a good chance for a full schedule next year.

“We are optimistic for Danica’s Sprint Cup debut,” said Tony Stewart, the three-time and reigning Sprint Cup champion. “I can say that because of the skillful performance Danica delivered last year as she worked her way through driving in both IndyCar and NASCAR. Put all the hype aside … Danica finished in the top-10 three times last season – that says it all.”

In her first full-time stock car season, Danica will compete for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Championship. She starts her 2012 season behind the wheel of JR Motorsports’ No. 7 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet in Saturday’s Nationwide race.  Coverage for the Feb. 25 Daytona NASCAR Nationwide Series event is presented by GoDaddy.com and airs on ESPN beginning at Noon.

You can watch Danica’s debut in the 54th Annual Daytona 500 on FOX television Feb. 26 beginning at Noon.
