MENCS: Dale Earnhardt Jr. Helps Fan With Speeding Ticket

Wednesday, Mar 01 2161

Sometimes you just get an itch for speed going down an open highway where not a car can be found. Sometimes you might even do so and get pulled over. That happened to one NASCAR fan recently. Luckily for Skyler Rice, Dale Earnhardt Jr. came to his rescue!

Rice, popped with a speeding ticket worth just over $1,000 dollars, made a deal with his father. The deal? If he gets a tweet from NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr., which odds weren’t in his favor of doing so, that his father would help him pay for the speeding ticket.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. did just that!

After getting the tweet from Earnhardt, Rice did take some criticism from folks saying that he could’ve killed somebody. Despite the criticism, Rice says that he has learned his lesson and promises not to speed on the open highway again. And besides, who hasn’t done this sort of thing in their own car before?

We at SpeedwayDigest.com know one thing for sure… That this will be a fun topic at the family dinner table for many years to come.
