Winner of A Custom Twisted Tea Pontoon Boat Announced As Part of the Cruising with Brian Scott

Twisted Tea, leading maker of hard iced tea, announced the winner of the Cruising with Brian Scott, No. 44 Twisted Tea Ford Driver Contest, in partnership with Richard Petty Motorsports, South Bay by Forest River Marine, and Mercury Marine. The winner – Bob Diehl, a military veteran and outdoor enthusiast from Jackson, Wyoming – has received a custom Twisted Tea pontoon designed by South Bay powered by a Mercury Marine 350hp Verado outboard. The winner also took the boat for its first cruise with the driver of the No. 44 Twisted Tea Ford, Brian Scott, following a trip to the Richard Petty Motorsports Headquarters in North Carolina.

Twisted Tea and Richard Petty Motorsports have partnered for the past three seasons to bring a Twisted experience to NASCAR fans across the country. This year, Brian Scott, driver of the No. 44 Twisted Tea Ford and resident Twisted Tea fan, has raced the Twisted Tea car at a variety of races including Atlanta, Michigan, and Darlington.

“I’m really excited that I got to team up with Twisted Tea, South Bay by Forest River Marine and Mercury Marine for this one-of-a-kind promotion,” said Brian Scott, driver of the No. 44 Twisted Tea Ford. “I got to test drive the boat earlier this year, and let me tell you, the boat rips. It’s the perfect boat for warm, sunny days spent with your closest friends and family and enjoying some Twisted Tea. I can’t wait to see the look on Bob’s face when he sees this boat in person.”

This unique Twisted Tea pontoon boat is a Super Sport 523 Arch model from South Bay, powered by a 350hp Mercury Marine Verado outboard engine. This pontoon delivers on style and quality, and guarantees a Twisted experience every time it sets out on the water.

“Partnering with Brian Scott, Forest River and Twisted Tea for this experience is a great way for our customers to see first-hand the growth of Mercury Marine in the pontoon market,” said Michelle Dauchy, Mercury Marine chief marketing officer. “A 350hp Verado powering a South Bay pontoon is a bold statement — and one that will continue to grow in the future.”

The official contest ran for three months, and drinkers could enter through text-to-win or email entries. In total, the contest is received more than 25,000 entries from Twisted drinkers and pontoon enthusiasts across the country, making it the most popular Twisted Tea contest to-date.

Twisted Tea, South Bay, and Mercury Marine remind all boaters and water enthusiasts to exercise good judgment and responsibility in all on-water activities, including using a designated driver for all South Bay and Mercury Marine-powered boats. Please do not drink and boat.
