NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Michael McDowell knows how important a team is when it comes to finding success in racing. The driver of the No. 95 Thrivent Financial Chevrolet SS finds inspiration every day with his Circle Sport – Leavine Family Racing team, as together they work hard to be the best they can be week in and week out on the track.
“I couldn’t race without my team,” said McDowell. “There is a lot of focus on the driver in this sport, but it’s an entire team effort. We only have 20 full time employees at our team, and everyone is dedicated to doing whatever it takes to have a competitive car at each race. Our team members sacrifice a lot to do what it takes to build race cars – especially at this top level of NASCAR. It takes hard work, dedication and a significant time commitment. When I’m out on the track, I want to get a great finish just as much for them as for myself.”
Fans can share their own stories about how their families motivate them through Thrivent Racing’s new inspirational message program at www.ThriventRacing.com. Race fans can upload photos, videos or text explaining how they are inspired and how they inspire others, as well as check out submissions from others. Each fan who shares an inspiration will receive a gift from Thrivent Racing following their first submission.
Additionally, fans who visit the site can enter Thrivent’s “Motor to Miami” sweepstakes. One grand prize winner and one guest will be flown to Miami, FL for the season finale race, stay in a motorcoach in the track’s infield, meet Michael McDowell and receive exclusive access to watch the race from the team’s pit box.
