McDowell’s teammate Todd Gilliland would take the third spot with at time of 52.541 seconds at 182.258 mph followed by Busch and Blaney rounding out the top-five.
The remaining playoff drivers lined up with Logano 6th, Hamlin 8th, Elliott, 11th, Larson 12th, Reddick 14th, Byron 16th, Bell 21st, Bowman 23rd, Suarez 31st, and Briscoe 36th.
Tomorrow’s Yellawood 500 is scheduled for just at 1 p.m. CT on NBC with stage breaks scheduled for lap 60, 120 and 188.
