  • BELL AT ATLANTA: Christopher Bell has one top-five and two top-10 finishes in his previous eight starts at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS). In the spring race this year Bell suffered damage from an incident early in the race, resulting in a 34th-place finish. Bell’s best finish of third came in the spring of 2023 at the 1.54-mile track.
  • BACK ON THE BOX: Crew chief Adam Stevens will return to the track this Sunday at Atlanta.
  • STEVENS PLAYOFF HISTORY: Adam Stevens has guided his teams to playoff berths in each of his 10 seasons as a NASCAR Cup Series crew chief. The 2015 and 2019 championship-winning crew chief also holds the record for most Championship 4 appearances by a crew chief with seven, including the past two years with Christopher Bell.
  • REGULAR SEASON RECAP: During the 26-race regular season, Bell has scored three wins, nine top-five finishes, 15 top-10s, one pole award and 721 laps lead.
  • DARLINGTON RECAP: Bell qualified 10th and despite the handling being a little tight he finished stage one fifth. Bell continued to be consistent throughout the entire 500-mile race and crossed the finish line third at Darlington.
  • RHEEM GUESTS AT ATLANTA:Rheem is hosting over 112 guests this weekend in Atlanta. Guests are on site from key suppliers, SmurfitWestrock & Resideo; distributors and contractors from the Water Heater Division (Hajoca, Modern Supply, Apex Supply), the Southeast Water Heater Division, the Commercial Air Conditioning Division, and customers from Raypak.
  • JGR AT ATLANTA: Joe Gibbs Racing owns 11 NCS victories at AMS. In 139 combined starts, the organization has tallied 42 top-five finishes, 63 top-10s and 2,914 laps led.
  • RACE INFO: The Quaker State 400 at AMS begins at 3:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024. The race will be broadcast live on USA, Sirius XM 90, and PRN Radio.

Christopher Bell: “The round of 16 is all about not eliminating yourself. I think all of the Playoff contending cars will be calm and definitely not try to cause any wrecks. With having a speedway the first race I think people will be a little more cautious trying to earn points and make sure they see the checkered flag.”
