Two names not normally at the top of the board in qualifying are set to take the green flag for tomorrow night’s Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. Bubba Wallace would best Carson Hocevar with a time of 29.421 at 167.146 mph over Hocevar’s 29.455 second lap time at 167.010.
Chase Briscoe would take the third spot with a time of 29.576 followed by Larson and Truex rounding out the top-five starters.
NOTE: Ricky Stenhouse Jr. during practice would spin and damage his No. 47 and would not take time during qualifying.
The 75th Cook Out 500 is scheduled to roll tomorrow night just after 6 p.m. ET on USA Network with stages ended on laps 115, 230 and 367.
