NASCAR announced penalties on Wednesday stemming from actions at Richmond Raceway on Sunday. The penalties included a pair of teams in the NASCAR Cup Series garage.

Austin Dillon and the No. 3 Richard Childress Racing team have been docked 25 driver and owner points for actions on the final lap of Sunday’s Cook Out 400. Additionally, spotter Brandon Benesch has been suspended for the next three NASCAR Cup Series events through Darlington. Benesch was heard on the team radio instructing Dillon to wreck Hamlin coming to the checkered flag.

In addition, Joey Logano has been fined $50,000 for actions following the race on pit road.

On an unrelated note, NASCAR reinstated Cordell Cahill. Cahill was suspended for violating NASCAR’s substance abuse policy last month.
