NSCS: Matt Kenseth Scores Michigan 400 Pole

Matt Kenseth will start on the pole at the Michigan International Speedway on Sunday in his No. 20 Dollar General Toyota. Kenseth posted a fast time and speed of 36.458 seconds, 197.488 mph. in single car runs. The pole marks his third of the 2015 Sprint Cup Series season.

Starting right beside Kenseth will be teammate Denny Hamlin in the No. 11 FedEx Toyota. The runner-up starting spot will give Hamlin his seventh top five start of the year after a time and speed of 36.550 seconds, 196.990 mph. The 34-year old comes into Michigan looking to score his second victory of the year.

Starting in third will be Carl Edwards in the No. 19 Toyota Camry. Edwards posted a time of 36.683 seconds, 196.276 mph. in the final round of qualifying. The Missouri native will come into the weekend looking to capture his third win at the two-mile oval.

Kyle Busch will start the race on Sunday in the sixth starting spot. Busch posted a time and speed of 36.838 seconds, 195.477 mph. The Las Vegas native goes into the race looking to capture his fifth win of the year.

There were no incidents in the two rounds of single car qualifying. Reed Sorenson will be the only driver who will not make the race.
