Joey Logano won Sunday nights NASCAR All-Star Race for the second time in his career.
Driver No.22 led 199 of 200 laps en route to his victory Sunday night. That broke a record for the most laps led by a single driver in the All-Star Race.
Rounding out the top five were Denny Hamlin in second, Chris Buescher in third, Kyle Larson in fourth and Ryan Blaney in fifth.
The All-Star race saw four cautious in the entirety of the race. Two for wrecks. The most talked about was on Lap 2 when Ricky Stenhouse Jr. wrecked.
Kyle Busch went up high on the opening lap and left a gap in the middle lane. Stenhouse would take the middle lane . Michal McDowell would then force them three wide when he took the bottom lane. The tight racing room would force Busch to hitting the outside wall.
Then on Lap 2, Busch would retaliate by hitting Stenhouse Jr. multiple times until the contract spun out Stenhouse into the outside wall. Stenhouse would then leave his car parked at Busch’s pit stall and then climbed up to Busch’s pit box to have a conversation.
With there not being a tunnel at North Wilkesboro, Stenhouse would be forced to wait until the race was complete before he could leave. After the race, Stenhouse would confront Busch at his hauler and would throw a punch at Busch. Both of the drivers pit crew members would get in the fight as well.
Rounding out the top ten were Bubba Wallace in sixth, Ross Chastain in seventh, Chase Elliott in eighth, Michael McDowell in ninth and Kyle Busch in tenth.
Ty Gibbs, who won the All-Star Open finished 13th. Gibbs spun out on Lap 119 after Busch spun him out and went one lap down finishing 13th.
