Biffle Races Way into Sprint All-Star Race; Finishes 13th

Greg Biffle gave it his all with one million dollars on the line in Saturday night’s Sprint All-Star race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.  After racing his way into the main event by winning the opening segment of the Sprint Showdown Friday night, Biffle qualified on the outside pole for the All-Star race with the help of a fast pit stop by his team.  Handling on the No. 16 Ortho Ford proved to be a challenge during the race causing Biffle to brush the wall in the opening segment, leaving an uphill battle for the team.  Despite the damage the team kept adjusting on their Ford and Biffle was able to finish 13th.

Biffle raced his way into the Sprint All-Star race Saturday night by winning the opening 20-lap segment of the Showdown Friday night.  Next up was qualifying for the All-Star race which includes a four tire pit stop.  Biffle took to the track in qualifying and his team did their part, earning a second-place starting position.

The All-Star race consists of four 25-lap segments followed by a 10-lap shootout to the checkered flag.  Biffle battled turn in the opening run, going from tight to loose handling on the track, causing him to brush the outside wall.

A caution followed each break between the segments and gave the team an opportunity to adjust on the Ortho Ford.  As the race unfolded the team patched the right rear quarterpanel and worked on handling with wedge and shim adjustments.  Their never give up attitude led to a 13th-place finish in the Sprint All-Star race.
