No. 20 Yahoo! Toyota Camry XSE News and Notes:

  • DOVER MOTOR SPEEDWAY: Christopher Bell will make his sixth NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) start at Dover Motor Speedway this weekend. In his previous five starts at the Monster Mile, Bell has earned one top-five and two top-10 finishes.
  • DOVER HISTORY: Last year Bell started the race second at Dover after qualifying was cancelled due to weather and then rain on Sunday postponed the race to Monday. Bell raced his way up to fifth in the final stage and under caution with 14 laps to go he pitted for right-side tires and fuel. Bell restarted third with seven laps to go but lost a little ground on just two tires to finish sixth. In 2022 Bell had his strongest NCS run to date at Dover. Bell qualified 17th and with some pit strategy restarted fifth on Monday at Dover after rain postponed the race. Bell started stage two second but a few laps in reported a loose wheel and had to pit. The team lost two laps but rallied back by taking the “wave around” during stage two and also racing his way into the “lucky dog” position. Bell was running ninth with 100 laps to go and raced his way up to fourth by the checkered flag.
  • MONSTER MILE: Bell has four prior starts at Dover in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) and has tamed the Monster Mile twice, taking home the wins in the fall of 2018 and the spring of 2019. Overall, Bell has two wins, three top-five and three top-10 finishes at Dover.
  • TALLADEGA RECAP: Bell qualified 10th at Talladega but during the race was collected in an accident on lap 132, the damage ended his day early and resulted in a 38th-place finish.
  • JGR AT DOVER: JGR has claimed 10 NCS victories at Dover. In 158 combined starts the organization has tallied 51 top-five finishes, 81 top-10s and 3,602 laps led. The championship-winning organization has an average start of 12.4 and an average finish of 15.1.
  • RACE INFO: The Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway begins at 2:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 28, 2024. The race will be broadcast live on FS1, SiriusXM 90, and PRN Radio.
