Alex Kennedy Joins Circle Sport’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Driver Lineup

Alex Kennedy, the 22-year-old Aztec, New Mexico, native, will make his 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut at Pocono Raceway this weekend in the No. 33 Circle Sport Chevrolet SS.  Kennedy, who spent last week testing at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) with  Hillman Racing, will also compete in the road-course events for Circle Sport at Sonoma Raceway (June 22) and Watkins Glen International (August 10), in addition to select races throughout the remainder of the 2014 season.

Dream Factory, the second-largest children’s wish-granting organization in the United States – granting over 25,000 dreams since its inception to critically and chronically ill children from the ages of three through eighteen – will be the primary sponsor of the No. 33 Dream Factory Chevrolet this weekend in the Pocono 400.  With a combined 19 starts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series, including a pair of top-20 NNS finishes at Montreal and Watkins Glen, Kennedy is a National Ambassador and 2010 winner of The Dream Factory’s Presidential Award.

“I’m really excited about driving the #33 Chevy SS for Circle Sport Racing, and I’m proud to kick off this relationship with The Dream Factory paint scheme at Pocono,” said Kennedy, the only New Mexico native competing in one of NASCAR’s major touring series.  “We had a successful two-day test at VIR last week where I was able to work with the crew, and I’m looking forward to making the most of this opportunity as I take the next big step in my NASCAR career.”
