7 Things to Look for From TBR at Charlotte Motor Speedway

1. Beef Jerky Outlet of the Carolinas Joins TBR
The Beef Jerky Outlet of the Carolinas, which is located in Concord, has joined Tommy Baldwin Racing as an associate sponsor for this weekend’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. They’ll appear on the rear quarter panel of Reed Sorenson’s No. 36 Chevrolet.

2. TBR Continues the “Salute the Troops” Campaign
Tommy Baldwin Racing will continue their newly launched initiative to “Salute the Troops” by encouraging fans to sign “Thank You” letters to servicemen and women overseas. Fans can stop by the Chevrolet stands located at Speed Street where cards and donation bins will be provided.

3. Tommy Baldwin Racing at Speed Street
Tommy Baldwin Racing teammates Reed Sorenson and Michael Annett will also be at Speed Street. You can find them on the Team Chevy stage on Friday, May 23rd at Noon where fans are invited to come participate in a Q&A with the drivers followed by an autograph session.

4. Launch of the NASCAR Foundation Silent Auction
As part of the “Salute the Troops” campaign, TBR has partnered with the NASCAR Foundation to host three 10-day silent auctions. The first auction will launch on Friday, May 23rd for fans to bid on autographed items, pace car rides, as well as passes to a future race. All proceeds will be donated to the Armed Forces Foundation.

5. Ten Starts, Top-25 Average
With only 10 starts at the 1.5-mile oval Reed Sorenson holds an average finish of 23.2. He’s had great runs in the four career Coca-Cola 600’s he’s competed in, with two top-10’s and one top-five.

6. TBR Honors Troops with Special American Flag
Starting this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Tommy Baldwin Racing will have a special American flag that will be flown on top of the No. 36 TBR hauler. The flag was recently presented to the team by Corporal Kevin Stelpflug, a young Marine upon his return from deployment in Afghanistan. The flag was flown over the 1st CEB Headquarters in the Helmand Providence and represents all of our military troops overseas protecting everyone here in the United States.

7. Sorenson’s Says …
“I am glad to have the Beef Jerky Outlet of the Carolinas come on board with us for this weekend’s race. It’s a big weekend for all of us, being home in Charlotte, and Memorial Day weekend. It’s a great time for fans to take some time and give back to our military that have served this country, and continue to make sacrifices for all of us. I encourage everyone to take some time out of their day, and sign a “Thank You” letter to send overseas to our troops, through our “Salute the Troops” campaign. It’s quick, fun, and an easy way to let all of our troops know we are still thinking about them.”
