Almirola and No. 43 Team Prepared and Ready to Contend for Win at Kansas

With a Goodyear tire test at Kansas Speedway and a team test at Charlotte Motor Speedway, also a 1.5-mile track, under his belt, Aric Almirola is confident that the No. 43 Farmland team will unload fast this weekend. Not only is the team prepared from tests, the team is always fast at the Midwest track. In 2012, Almirola led 69 laps of the spring race before a blown tire ruined his chances at a win in the No. 43 Ford. He scored his best finish of eighth in last spring’s event after starting from the sixth spot.

Fans at Kansas Speedway can show they are #FueledByBacon by signing up for the Farmland Bacon Club at the Farmland booth in the Fan Zone. Fans at home can become members by going to FarmlandBaconClub.com. Aric Almirola and Richard Petty will be featured as the Bacon Club “Members of the Month” in May.

With a @Goodyear Blimp tire test at @Kansas Speedway and a team test at @Charlotte Motor Speedway, @Aric Almirola is eager to compete this weekend and anticipates a fast No. 43 @Farmland Foods Ford.

“We just did a Goodyear tire test at Kansas a couple weeks ago. I feel like the track has aged well. It’s slicked up a little bit and lost a little bit of grip which allowed Goodyear to bring a little softer tire. Our whole team at RPM always has really fast cars there. Two years ago, I had probably the best racecar I’ve ever had in my life at Kansas Speedway. I had a shot to win in front of Farmland’s hometown crowd with them being based in Kansas City. This year, I think we will have a really fast Farmland car, and we should be really good. We had a really good test there a couple of weeks ago and just spent some time at Charlotte Motor Speedway working on our intermediate track program.

“This weekend also marks the launch of the Farmland Bacon Club. Everyone loves bacon, so I’m excited to see the community they build. Richard and I will be ‘Members of the Month’ in May, which is really cool. We got to chat about our favorite memories of bacon and it will be featured on their website. With it being a hometown race for Farmland, we have extra incentive to celebrate with them in Victory Lane.”
