The much anticipated Catwalk for a Cause 5th annual spring fashion show and benefit auction tickets are now on sale. This must-attend event supports the Martin Truex Jr. Special Needs Fund at Levine Children’s Hospital, assisting patients and families of children being treated for cancer. These children spend countless hours in the hospital, now is their time to shine like superstars on the stage. You can help them forget about the treatments they must endure by supporting this amazing cause. The event will take place at Merinos Home Furnishings Center, in downtown Mooresville, NC on Wednesday evening May 14th, 2014 from 6-10pm. Called the “must attend event of the year” by one of last year’s guests, Catwalk for a Cause is a fun and heartwarming evening filled with philanthropy, fashion, musical entertainment, gourmet food, a silent auction and raffle. The runway show features the latest spring designer apparel from local boutiques and nationally recognized children’s clothing from Ella Moss and Splendid. “The highlight for our guests is watching those precious children walk the Catwalk to raise money for their own cause,” explained Sherry Pollex, Lavendar Boutique owner and Foundation co-founder with long-time boyfriend and Sprint Cup Driver Martin Truex Jr. “We listen closely to our guests and change things up each year – this year will be no different,” says Truex Jr. The hand-painted pottery by children from Levine’s will be back again as well as some new surprises. There will be more time to mingle and sample the edible garden from Sugar Pops as well as enjoy the musical talents of Incognito, who will play from 8:30-10:00pm. The Silent Auction and Raffle will delight both men and women with something for everyone this year.
As each guest departs they will receive the coveted swag bag filled with product samples and gifts from our sponsors and clothing designers. Last year’s bags had a retail value of over $75. This year’s bags will impress with even more.
