Joe Gibbs Racing Fall FanFest and Car Show Scheduled For Friday, October 11
Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) Fall FanFest will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its team headquarters in Huntersville, NC on Friday, Oct. 11.
JGR NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth, as well as Nationwide Series drivers Brian Vickers and Elliott Sadler, will be available to sign autographs from 10 a.m. to Noon. In addition, JGR NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers Michael McDowell and Drew Herring, along with Camping World Truck Series driver Darrell Wallace, Jr., will also be available for autographs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
JGR Fall FanFest promises to provide entertainment and fun for every race fan. The event will include the Home Depot Kids Workshop, a raffle with various autographed memorabilia as well as baskets stuffed with NASCAR-related items, live music, sponsor giveaways, M&M’s race simulator, an appearance by Miss Sprint Cup, a car and motorcycle show and several other family-friendly attractions. All entertainment and driver autographs are provided at no cost to fans; food and drinks will also be available for purchase.
In order to receive an autograph from Busch, Hamlin, Kenseth, Vickers and Sadler you must be one of the first 300 people to receive a wristband. Each wristband is good for one autograph from each of the drivers. They are scheduled to sign autographs from 10 a.m. to Noon and wristbands will be distributed starting at 8 a.m. There will also be a 15 minute question and answer session with the drivers on stage before they sign autographs. No overnight parking will be allowed on JGR property, neighboring businesses or in the business park.
The second annual JGR Fan Fest 2013 Car and Motorcycle Show will be from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Categories for the show include street rods, muscle cars, original class, custom, motorcycles, pick-ups, best engine and best in show, which will be presented by Joe Gibbs. The judging will be fan based. Participants can preregister at http://joegibbsracing.com/carshow.
Funds raised from JGR Fall FanFest will be donated to the Charlotte chapter of Susan G. Komen.
