FRM Post-Race Report: Richmond

Michael McDowell
No. 34 Dockside Ford Mustang
Started: 25th | Finished: 36th
It was a tough night for our Dockside Logistics No. 34 team at Richmond Raceway. Our car was extremely tight from the drop of the green flag, but we kept working on it and were able to get it to a point where I was actually more on the free side. I thought that the car was going to come to me, but I cut down a right rear tire late in the race that sent me into the wall, ending our night early.”
Matt Tifft
No. 36 The Pete Store Ford Mustang
Started: 20th | Finished: 29th
“The Pete Store No. 36 Ford started the weekend with a good qualifying run. Unfortunately, we ended up having to start the race at the back of the pack, and we had our work cut out for us. We battled a tight car throughout the race and tried to make a few pit stop strategy calls to set ourselves up for a good finish. It didn’t work out the way we wanted, but we’ll regroup in the off-weekend and come back ready for Talladega.
David Ragan
No. 38 MDS Trucking Ford Mustang
Started: 22nd | Finished: 28th
“It was nice to have Old Dominion Brush Company back on board with us this weekend at Richmond Raceway. We struggled to roll the center of the corners for a significant portion of the race. I feel like Seth and the team did the best that they could to try and diagnose our troubles tonight, but by that point we found ourselves having to take wave-arounds to gain laps back, which in return forced us to pit off-sequence to where we could never overcome.
