Kurt Busch’s fast speed earned him the Bush Pole on Friday afternoon at Michigan International Speedway.
Busch ran a lap of 203.361 mph in the final round of qualifying that would ultimately give Busch the top spot for Sunday’s race. This marks Busch’s second pole of the 2018 season, his third at Michigan and 24th of his career.
Brad Keselowski who is a native of the Michigan area will start from the outside of row 1 on Sunday. Keselowski’s N0. 2 Team Penske Ford posted a lap of 203.166 mph.
Rounding out the top five in qualifying were Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick and Joey Logano. Ford who is based out of Michigan claimed six out of the top seven starting spots.
Kyle Larson who looks to go for four victories in-a-row saw his qualifying come to an end after being eliminated after round 1 of the 3 rounds of qualifying. Larson will start from the 26th position after posting a lap of 198.999 mph.
