Ragan on the All-Star Open

“As a kid, I grew up loving the All-Star weekend. It was a little different format, and it always had a different level of excitement. So, to have been in the All-Star race by winning a race and a couple times racing my way in through the Open, it’s always a dramatic and fun experience. It’s a cool feeling to be with a lot of the sport’s best.

“This package is going to be different, there’s no question about it. Charlotte Motor Speedway is a place where the field tends to get strung out really fast, but these rules will slow everybody down a little, and I think we might see more side-by-side racing. And maybe it can spark some new conversation in the industry on a direction we need to go. We’ll take some good notes, knowing that if it’s a successful weekend, we could see this package in future races.”
