David Ragan Chicago Preview

Ragan on Chicago

“The track at Chicagoland has aged very well. It’s got a lot of character. It’s got a really big bump in Turns 3 and 4, and it’s got a lot of speed. The asphalt’s worn out, so it’s got multiple grooves. It’s a great market, too. There are a lot of racers and race fans in the Midwest, so the Chicago market is obviously huge for our sport.

“It’s the first race of the playoffs. Those top 16 guys are racing for a championship and they’re bringing their best. And even those teams that aren’t in the playoffs, you’re still fighting for another top-five or another top-10 to try to finish the year as strong as you can. Our Camping World/Good Sam team still has some things we want to accomplish, so these final races are all important to us.”
