With the interest in Eldora Speedway’s Inaugural Mudsummer Classic featuring the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (Wednesday, July 24) reaching a feverish pitch, speedway officials are gearing up for Saturday morning’s opening of public ticket sales at 10 a.m.
Following the recently-concluded pre-sale campaign offered to 2012 Prelude to the Dream ticket holders, all remaining seats will be available for the first NASCAR national series event on a dirt track since 1970, and the Eldora ticketing staff is prepared for the expected onslaught of ticket sales. Campsite reservations will also become available on Saturday.
The most efficient method to obtain tickets is by using the TicketForce-powered online system at www.EldoraSpeedway.com. With its capability to process up to 800 different orders simultaneously, it has a flawless track record of handling Eldora’s rich history of marquee events and massive opening day ticket sales. A backup direct link to the ticketing site of eldoraspeedway.ticketforce.com has also been established.
Race fans that do not have access to a computer can call into the Eldora Box Office at (937) 338-3815 where a full staff of Ticketing Specialists will be available to assist a cue of up to 25 calls at a time. In addition, the Speedway Box Office will be open for walk-up sales beginning at 10 a.m.
Reserved Grandstand and North and South Terrace Seats are $40. General admission tickets are $36 and children’s (12 and younger) tickets are $12 with a $4 upgrade available for reserved seating in the North and South Bleacher sections.
The return to traditional dirt-track grassroots racing for NASCAR and the first-ever dirt race for the Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) has generated tremendous interest among race fans and race teams and has sparked a spirited discussion of anticipated results. Especially with a roster expected to consist of NCWTS regulars, invaders from the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide series eager to return to their dirt racing roots and modern-day dirt-track superstars eager to defend Eldora’s turf. While the Inaugural Mudsummer Classic for the NCWTS is drawing huge attention to short-track racing and Eldora, it has not over-shadowed the previously announced traditional major events for the historic speed plant as it enters its 60th consecutive season of racing action. Ticket and campsite sales for the $100,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream Weekend (June 6-7-8), 30th Annual Kings Royal Weekend (July 12 & 13) and the 43rd Annual World 100 Weekend (September 5-6-7) went on sale December 1 and are moving at a record pace and can be included in Mudsummer Classic orders.
