Jason White, No. 23 GunBroker.com/Grime Boss Ford F-150, Texas Preview

Jason on Texas Motor Speedway:  “I really look forward to returning to Texas Motor Speedway this weekend.  Back in June we had a really strong truck and led some laps before receiving some damage to the nose of our GunBroker.com Ford which really ruined our run.  Texas is a big momentum track that tends to have some long green flag runs.  So it is very important to get a good handle on your truck so you can keep that momentum up in a long run.  We have great horsepower in our Ford F-150 supplied by Roush Yates Engines and that plays a big key at this track as well.”

“We have GunBroker.com and a new partner, Grime Boss, on the truck together this week and I look forward to putting together a great run for both of them.”

Jason at Texas:This will mark Jason’s 13th career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the Texas Motor Speedway.  His best finish was eighth in this race during the 2009 season after starting in the 18th position.  He finished 17th at the track earlier this year after leading seven laps before his strong run was derailed by front end nose damage.

Race Rewind:   Jason White knows that Martinsville is all about survival and although he had his hands full all day, he was able to survive the 200 lap event at the paperclip shaped track. Hampered by rain drizzle falling, White started the shortest race of the season from the 27th position as a result of his qualifying effort earlier in the day. Once the green flag flew, the No. 23 Grime Boss would battle its way through the field and some pit strategy would find White inside the top-10 at the halfway point of the race.   However, the Grime Boss Ford did not kindly respond to the changes and Jason would fall back in the field before a late race caution presented the team an opportunity for a trip down pit road and some much needed changes.   In typical Martinsville fashion, the closing laps of the race would include some wild action which White was able to handle and bring home his No. 23 Ford to a respectable 13th place finish.

The finish kept Jason in the 11th position in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers’ standings – only nine points out of the tenth position.

“Sniper” Eyes Texas Motor Speedway: The GunBroker.com team will be bringing the truck they nicknamed “Sniper” to Texas this week.  In honor of the team’s sponsor, GunBroker.com, the GB Racing team uses gun and shooting themed names for most of their trucks – thus the name “Sniper”.   “Sniper” last race in Las Vegas where Jason came home with a 13th place finish.  Earlier this season, Jason wheeled “Sniper” to his career best second place finish at Michigan International Speedway.

Home Sweet Home: Jason White and his GunBroker.com team will enjoy the feeling of home while in Texas this week at the Suburban Extended Stay in Lewisville. The hotel is located just one mile from the Vista Ridge Mall, offering more than 160 specialty and department stores. This Lewisville, TX hotel is minutes from Lewisville Lake, Six Flags Over Texas amusement park, Adventure Landing theme park, Cowboys Stadium (home of the Dallas Cowboys football team) and the American Airlines Center multipurpose arena.
